Engineering Configuration Specialist
As an Engineering Configuration Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our engineering data, materials, and processes are accurate, reliable, and scalable. Your work directly supports engineering efficiency, change management, and product integrity—making you a trusted partner to engineers and a key contributor to continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, precision, and problem-solving, and who takes pride in building systems that work better over time.
You'll own and improve how engineering information is managed across systems, documentation, and processes. Key contributions include: managing, maintaining, and improving engineering documents and data within the KEB ERP system; creating, maintaining, and auditing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and material records; ensuring accurate tracking and updates of material status throughout the lifecycle; defining, analyzing, and implementing engineering changes using formal change management practices;
designing, maintaining, and continuously improving core engineering processes; developing, updating, and maintaining the Engineering Handbook as a living resource; organizing and managing technical information, including engineering tasks and notification lists; partnering closely with engineering team members to support accuracy, clarity, and efficiency; maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment; and supporting additional engineering-related initiatives as business needs evolve. This role has room to shape processes—not just follow them.
Reports directly to the Engineering Manager and collaborates daily with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.
Education & Experience:
high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of configuration management experience. Technical & Professional
Skills:
intermediate to advanced computer proficiency, basic math skills (standard and metric), basic SAP or similar ERP system knowledge, working knowledge of ANSI/EIA-649-B Configuration Management standards (we can train if you do not have this background), strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
