LHH is partnering with a growing organization in the Shakopee area to hire a Logistics Coordinator
. This role is ideal for someone with early logistics experience who enjoys a fast-paced environment and thrives on problem‑solving and coordination.
This position will start fully onsite for training
, then transition to a hybrid schedule
.
- Coordinate and oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to align transportation with operational needs
- Monitor shipment activity and proactively address delays, routing issues, or equipment constraints
- Maintain accurate shipment data, tracking details, and transportation records
- Communicate shipment updates and timelines with stakeholders, including customers, carriers, and internal teams
- Support routing and scheduling decisions to improve efficiency and service levels
- Assist in analyzing transportation data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities
- Troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges in real time
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination
- Experience working with rail, truck, or freight shipments preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Detail-oriented with strong problem‑solving skills and follow-through
- Experience in industries such as agriculture, manufacturing, or bulk materials
- Familiarity with transportation or logistics software/systems
- Knowledge of freight operations, scheduling, or shipment tracking
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, operations-focused environment
- Hybrid flexibility after training period
