General Production - Selector Packer

Job Title:

General Production – Selector Packer (starting at $25 per hour)

Visually examine and gauge glassware and package in cartons or attend semi-automatic equipment to insure conformance to specification. Hold ware back or stop the line if not visually inspected correctly. Pack acceptable ware in cartons and install required internal packaging. Responsible for unjamming and restarting all automatic inspection equipment. Check for partition damage from automatic case packer.

• Place ware off or on lines as necessary.
• Unjam equipment (conveying lines, inspection equipment, case packers).
• Prepare paperwork such as production tally sheets.
• Monitor line, operate palletizer and reselect.
• Perform other work as assigned by the supervisor and may work in other departments as needed.

Swing shift / rotating shift: 21 days on, 7 days off in a 28‑day cycle. Working 7 consecutive days at 8:00am–4:00pm, followed by 3 days off, then 7 consecutive days at 12mid‑night–8am, followed by 2 days off, then 7 consecutive days at 4pm–12mid‑night, followed by 2 days off, then back to 8am–4pm.

Entry‑level position requiring ability to work independently and on a team. Physical stamina to lift and move products. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be reliable, punctual, and efficient. Prior experience in production or related environment is a plus.
