Job Summary

At San Mar, the work you do makes a difference. A Receiver/Loader is required to unload and load incoming and outgoing trailers by following standard operating procedures (SOP), which may include sorting, palletizing, and moving product.

What Will You Be Doing?
  • Unload and load product by following standard operating procedures.
  • May use electric power jack to move pallets and/or product as needed.
  • Maintain a positive, supportive attitude toward the Company, job, customers, and co-workers.
  • Meet minimum standards, accuracy standards, and delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area by adhering to San Mar safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
What Are We Looking For?
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
  • Ability to read, write, and identify colors, sizes, quantity, label and SKU information.
  • Basic math skills in counting and quantity measurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs arise.
  • Ability to work efficiently, with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity to work in a high-demand, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Essential days or overtime may be required.
  • May need to complete and maintain San Mar’s Lift Operator Certification every three years.
What's Our Offer?

Salary Range:
You’ll earn between $17.00 - $21.25 per hour, depending on experience.

Paid Time Off:
You’ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked, up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive eight paid holidays and one paid family day off.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The employee is required to stand, walk, talk, and hear continuously. Frequently lifts or moves up to 60 pounds and operates powered equipment that requires use of both hands and full range of motion. Must reach, grasp, and perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions. Often climbs stairs, kneels, squats, bends, and carries. Vision requirements include close, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

May need a headset and protective harness. Basic English literacy is required. Work environment is noisy, sometimes near conveyor systems, with dust and weather changes. Machinery hazards include forklifts, pallet jacks, and mechanized systems. Working conditions are hectic and fast‑paced, with exposure to ambient lighting and extreme heat/cold.
