About the Opportunity

Job Title: Packers
Pay Rate: $16.50/hr
Location: Shakopee, MN
Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 5AM-1PM or 6AM-2PM
Position Type: Temp to Hire

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or warehousing is nice to have.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and identify correct parts for fulfilling customer orders (counting and reading English is a must).
• Basic communication skills (written and/or verbal); must be able to speak and understand English.
• Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment, and general warehouse procedures.
• Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher‑level employee.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. (lifting is not constant but boxes will be lifted from carts and to the packing line).
• Standing/walking for long durations of time.
• Use hands and fingers to lift and reach.

• Pick or package a variety of printed materials or related items using various packing procedures and techniques.
• Follow detailed procedures to perform routine packing work.
• Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping.
• Perform related tasks such as placing labels on packages, putting manuals into binders, and handling boxes for final product.
• Ensure accurate shipping information is attached and packages are shipped according to the specified schedule.
• Place, arrange, mark, seal, and tag items in bundles, on pallets and/or in containers, bins, and bulk storage.
• Meet established productivity and quality standards.
• Count and sort various product items.
• May feed, remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets, folded signatures, labels, or other in‑process product to and from the equipment in the area assigned.
• Confirm what pickers have pulled and that they are packaging it.

• May be eligible for 5 paid holidays.
