Operator, Hybrid Digital

Job Overview

The Operator, Hybrid Digital is responsible for operating large format digital printing equipment to meet Imagine production and quality standards within budget and on time. Daily activity includes material handling and finishing.

6:00 pm – 6:00 am, rotating every 5 weeks between Mon‑Wed and Thurs‑Sat.

• Operate and maintain Hybrid Digital Presses (e.g., Nozomi) based on Standard Operating Procedures.
• Operate Lift Truck/PIV safely and efficiently.
• Understand and follow work orders.
• Produce products to specification, within budget, and in the expected timeframe.
• Operate equipment in accordance with manufacturer and Imagine standards on various substrates.
• Relay important information to the next shift.
• Properly execute pressroom safety procedures.
• Learn and comply with company and pressroom Standard Operating Procedures.
• Account for all labor and material consumed on a job‑by‑job basis.
• Perform routine functions to ensure optimal printing conditions (e.g., change empty ink, bi‑hourly maintenance bath procedures, and print head cleanliness). Monitor output quality throughout a run.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Communicate with customers and clients professionally and politely.
• Act as a resource to Apprentice and Feeder.
• Troubleshoot with the help of the Lead Operator.
• Other job duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience on a similar press.

• Proficiency in computer applications, including Mac and Windows operating systems.
• High mechanical aptitude.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to follow documented procedures.
• Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions and tape measure and other measuring equipment.
• Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
• Thorough knowledge of press operations and functions and problem‑solving on press.
• Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to the workstation.
• Demonstrate a positive safety attitude.

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors.
• Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
• Manual dexterity for repetitive work.
