Package Assembler
The Package Assembler will be primarily responsible for performing all customer packaging requirements according to the working instructions, as well as set‑up, run, cleaning, and general maintenance of label machines, shrink wrappers, desktop/tabletop rewind and label applicator equipment.
Responsibilities- Verify through work orders that job processes and drawings are correct before production run.
- Maintain quality standards by checking for debris and overall quality.
- Use digital instruments and measuring devices to collect and record continuous accurate SPC data.
- Troubleshoot and solve machine related problems such as tension, pressure, settings, and web‑breaks.
- Detail‑oriented, deadline driven, self‑directed and organized individual.
- Ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the workplace and compliance towards ISO 14001 Environmental standards.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Packaging experience.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands‑on skills.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Experience using digital instruments and measuring devices to include rulers and calipers to collect and record data.
- Ability to stand continually with frequent bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to communicate in basic English; read, write and understand.
- Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for the US.
- Experience working in a printing environment.
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $17.17–$25.18 per hour (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
