- Complete comprehensive patient assessments
- Determine diagnosis and treatment of illness
- Order and interpret medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician
- Prescribe medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment
- Conduct patient education for chronic illness management or wellness care
- Join the Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute practice based in Shakopee and Edina clinics
- Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Master's degree completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program required
- Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA required upon hire, or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) or (AANP) required upon hire
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates)
- Active MN & WI NP/PA license (or ability to obtain)
- BLS certification required within 180 days of hire
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges
- Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience in cardiology or ICU
- Medium Work: lifting up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently
Demonstrates expertise in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, with a strong focus on chronic illness management and wellness care. Holds necessary certifications and licenses to provide comprehensive care in a cardiology setting.
