The Landscape Crew Lead is a hands‑on field leader responsible for overseeing daily on‑site operations, ensuring projects are built to plan, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and client‑facing professionalism. The Crew Lead works closely with Project Managers, Designers, and Installation Teams to deliver exceptional outdoor living spaces.

• Lead and supervise installation crews on residential outdoor living projects
• Delegate tasks clearly and efficiently to maximize productivity
• Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques and safety procedures
• Foster a positive, accountable, and team‑oriented jobsite culture

• Read and interpret design plans, construction drawings, and specifications
• Oversee installation of decks, patios, retaining walls, stonework, pergolas, pavilions, lighting systems, fire features, and water features
• Ensure structural integrity, proper grading, drainage, and layout accuracy
• Coordinate equipment, materials, and subcontractors as needed
• Ensure all permits are in place

• Conduct daily quality checks to ensure work meets company standards
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites
• Identify and resolve on‑site challenges proactively

• Serve as a professional on‑site representative of the company
• Communicate project progress and timelines with homeowners when appropriate

• 3+ years of experience in landscape construction or outdoor living installation
• Proven leadership experience managing small crews
• Strong knowledge of hardscaping, carpentry, grading, and construction techniques
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying Minnesota weather conditions
• Communicate and manage people diverse in language, ability, educational levels, and experience

Required technical proficiency in operating skid steers, excavators, and other landscape equipment.
