EPG Sales Engineer

Position Overview

EPG Sales Engineer – Ziegler CAT.

• Seek out prospective customers and provide proposals for Electric Power Generation equipment.
• Respond to current customer requests for Electric Power Generation equipment.
• Analyze engineering specifications to quote equipment that meets project requirements.
• Analyze sales opportunities in the territory and systematically target business opportunities.
• Document the project and component specifications required by individual customers.
• Document sales quotations for customers using standard Ziegler formatting.
• Support other Sales Engineers and customers by providing technical information, literature, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Learn about Cat and competitive products to offer the best solutions based on customer interests and concerns.
• Quote and close sales transactions within assigned authority parameters, completing all required sales documentation.
• Coordinate the activities of support divisions within Ziegler and Caterpillar to manage product field service and product quality issues.
• Document quotation, win, loss, and data along with other business activities.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of technical sales experience.
• Customer Focus, Problem Solving, Attention to Detail, Sociability, Achievement Orientation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, clean driving record.
• Working knowledge of internal combustion engine installations and drive trains.
• Analytical skills.
• Experience with Electric Power, Electrician, Generator, or Reciprocating Engine desired.

Up to 25% travel. Minimum physical requirements include standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing. Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor; noise level may be moderate at times.

Salary range: $ to $, base plus incentive, depending on skills, experience, and education. Full-time positions are benefits eligible and include Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance; 15 days of PTO in the first year (accrual starts day
