Position Purpose
Performs basic and routine window and door installation following safe work practices while delivering an outstanding General Contractor and employee experience are the primary deliverables.
Position Responsibilities- Effectively prepares the jobsite for set up and tear down to assure work can be performed in an
- efficient and safe manner and the worksite is left clean. Collaborates with other installers throughout
- the installation project to maximize efficiencies, installation techniques and sustaining positive
- customer relations.
- Assess jobsite for hazards prior to commencement of work. Address hazards as needed. Adheres to
- proper safety techniques and procedures, and to Andersen safety programs and training
- requirements.
- General warehouse support. Provide support for minor service calls as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Describe oversight, guidance and/or work direction provided and type of positions being directed (employees, contractors, etc.).
Minimum Qualification, Skill And/Or Competency Requirements- HS Degree or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of basic construction techniques; good knowledge of basic construction and building materials.
- Knowledge of terminology of the construction industry
- Demonstrates responsible attendance and punctuality.
- Initiative; ability to work independently.
- Flexibility; willingness to work variable work schedules
- General understanding and knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices
- Organizational skills for managing work schedules, job priorities and stock levels
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders up to 90 feet tall
