Responsibilities- Support the installation, maintenance, and optimization of the facility’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as well as office and cubicle furniture.
- Perform “handyman” maintenance duties such as furniture moves and repairs, simple electrical projects, spot painting, light construction, and exterior cleanup.
- Carry out waste paper/cardboard recycling, stocking of employee break areas, and conference room set‑ups and teardowns.
- Assist the Senior Facilities Technician in working from drawings or specifications to complete plant, office, or project redesigns.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment, commercial kitchen equipment, and domestic water systems.
- Provide support to vendors and contractors in the absence of the Senior Facilities Technician.
- Organize items relating to building and equipment maintenance, including fasteners, hoses, wires, spare parts, and other supplies.
- Maintain the automatic sprinkler system, including startup, winterization, programming, adjustment, and repair of sprinkler heads.
- Maintain walks, private driveway, parking lot, and loading docks, including sweeping, snow removal, and vegetation control.
- Maintain all assigned equipment, including engine and chassis maintenance, repair of lawn care and snow removal equipment, scheduled preventive maintenance, and storage and cleaning of hand tools.
- Support organization of grounds‑keeping duties, including gasoline, oil, fertilizer, ice melt, and spare parts such as spark plugs, V‑belts, nuts and bolts.
- Comply with all safety policies and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use LOTO procedures when required.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Basic computer competence including Microsoft Office, building management systems, security monitoring systems, and work‑order programs.
- Ability to operate site equipment including hand and power tools.
- Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for the US.
- Two‑year technical degree or associate’s degree.
- Experience with Tracer Summit BAS.
- Three years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing environment with hands‑on experience in repair and maintenance of industrial equipment.
- Ability to effectively communicate via voicemail, e‑mail, handwritten notes, and text messaging.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in an unsupervised work schedule.
- Boiler and/or refrigeration licensing.
- Ability to set up working documents and procedures.
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is $18.96–$27.80 per hour (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills, and experience.
