Overview
The Apprentice Electrician position is responsible for the efficient manufacture, fabrication, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and support operations of all company-supported electrical products and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Manufacturing/Fabrication Responsibilities:
- Installation of electrical switch gear and equipment on power vans, control vans, and operator control modules.
- Rebuilding of used electrical switch gear and equipment on power vans, control vans, and operator control modules.
- Layout and assembly of electrical panels and switch gear.
- Electrical Inventory Responsibilities:
- Prepare complete materials and parts lists for posting to appropriate work orders.
- Prepare parts, cords, and switch gear assemblies for shipping to customers and/or vendors.
- Assist in maintaining, organizing, and other duties related to electrical inventory.

- Verifiable apprenticeship hours preferred.
- Strong mechanical background.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Forklift equipment operations background.
- Experience with soft starts, VFDs, and interlocking circuits.
- Read, draw, and understand electrical drawings (e.g., ladder diagrams) for control schematics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain an insurable driving record.
- Positive mental attitude.
- Works efficiently and effectively.
- Willing to travel as needed, including potential overnight field service work with short notice.
