Software Engineer Co-op

Position Overview

Entrust invites a Software Development Co‑Op student to join our Engineering Group for a 6 to 12 month experience at our Corporate headquarters in Shakopee, MN.

• Design, develop, test, document, and deploy software (Software Development – 50%)
• Assist in reviewing product requirements and estimating work (Software Development – 50%)
• Work with the test group to validate functionality (Software Development – 50%)
• Review and respond to field problems; reproduce and fix issues (Software Continuation – 20%)
• Perform unit testing and review code from others on the team (Reviewing and Testing – 30%)
• Document released functionality (Reviewing and Testing – 30%)

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree.
• Experience with Java, C++, and/or C# software development.
• Experience with Windows updates and security Windows OS systems.
• Experience with diagnostics.
• Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US.

• Subversion experience.
• Experience in Python, .NET, and Windows development.
• GUI application programming using Java Swing.
• Experience with agile processes, methodologies, and tools on multi‑person teams and projects.
• Experience or desire working with machine vision systems.
• Experience with image generation and processing including color managed workflows.
• Experience with concurrency/multi‑threaded development environments.
• Experience or interest working with mechanical systems.
