POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Light Duty Roll-off Driver

POSITION SUMMARY:

The light duty roll-off truck driver position is a non-CDL role that is responsible for delivering & picking up dumpsters and disposing at various sites & transfer stations in an appropriate manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Operates light duty roll-off trucks

Performs required pre-trip & post trip inspections and provides required reports

Provides outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations

Ability to operate safely within DOT rules and regulations

Participate in company safety programs

Maintains and protects all property

Informs on-duty mechanic of any maintenance issues with equipment and/or vehicles

Fuels truck at the end of each workday

Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Have a valid Minnesota Class D License

Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid health card

Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds

Driver must be minimum of 18 years old per DOT.

Education and/or experience:

High school diploma or GED preferred

Must have a clean driving record

WORK CONDITIONS Outdoor environment; exposure to extreme weather conditions; work with and around heavy machinery; exposure to dust and fumes from motorized equipment; exposure to noise, odors and gases; exposure to heavy traffic conditions, possible exposure to toxic chemicals.

PHYSCIAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and walk.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
