Transportation Operations Coordinator – Contract – 100% Onsite in Shakopee, MNAre you an organized logistics professional with experience coordinating transportation, dispatching equipment, or supporting fleet operations? We are assisting our client with a Transportation Operations Coordinator opportunity in Shakopee, MN. This position provides critical support to the Transportation team during the company's peak seasonal operations, coordinating equipment movement across multiple business divisions, assisting dispatch supervisors, managing transportation billing, communicating with carriers, and helping ensure equipment is delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation, logistics, dispatching, or fleet operations and enjoy working collaboratively with drivers, carriers, dispatch teams, and branch personnel. This person should be highly organized, customer-focused, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate equipment transportation and movement across multiple business divisions, including rental, agriculture, and product support operations.

Support Dispatch Supervisors by posting loads, reviewing carrier bids, obtaining additional quotes when needed, and recommending transportation options. Coordinate with internal teams, drivers, contract carriers, and branch locations to ensure timely and accurate equipment deliveries.

Manage transportation communications by providing load details, delivery updates, ETAs, and required information to complete shipments.

Process transportation billing, validate pricing using transportation systems and rate schedules, and support invoice approval and coding processes.

Provide transportation rate quotes and assist with cost-effective routing and carrier selection decisions.

Maintain relationships with external transportation vendors and serve as a point of contact for carrier partners.

Monitor equipment movement between branch locations, rental customers, and service facilities while supporting high-volume seasonal activity.

Respond to transportation inquiries, assist with issue resolution, and escalate customer concerns when needed.

Collaborate with fleet, procurement, operations, sales, and transportation teams to improve logistics processes and maintain accurate documentation.

Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, fleet operations, or transportation coordination.

Previous experience coordinating transportation schedules or dispatching equipment preferred.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new transportation software and internal systems.

Experience working with logistics or transportation management systems preferred.

Comfortable working collaboratively with multiple departments, transportation vendors, and drivers.
