In this full-time role, you will be responsible for transporting products and materials to customer locations and hauling various materials such as wood, yard waste, dirt, and other related commodities.

Schedule:
Day shift with flexibility between 7:00am-5:00pm.

Job Overview: A valid Class A CDL is required for this position. This is a full-time truck driving role responsible for product deliveries and hauling a variety of materials, including wood, yard waste, dirt, and other related materials. Drivers will operate semi-trucks with walking floor and end dump trailers, as well as flatbed trailers for palletized deliveries. Additional responsibilities may include transporting heavy equipment to and from job sites.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable operating a variety of commercial vehicles and trailers.

• Operate a semi-truck pulling either a 53' walking floor trailer or end dump truck.
• Operate walking floor trailers, end dump trailers, and flatbed trailers.
• Haul wood, yard waste, dirt, aggregate materials, and other commodities.
• Deliver products and materials to customer and project locations.
• Transport heavy equipment as needed.
• Performs daily cleaning and inspections, ensuring safety devices are in working order on heavy equipment.

Provide excellent customer service while representing the SMSC professionally.

• Valid Class A CDL with a good driving record.
• High school graduate with math proficiency.
• Ability to proficiently operate front-end loaders and skid-loaders to load material into low-speed grinders, screeners, trucks and trailers within four months of employment.
• Ability to perform daily safety inspections, routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment within four months of employment. Mechanical background preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft software products.
• Ability to speak and read English.
• Good customer relation skills and ability to follow directions in a team environment.
