Position: Materials Handler II (2nd Shift)

Position Description

Title: Materials Handler II

Reports to: Warehouse Operations Manager

Department: Inventory

Location: Shakopee, MN

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2nd shift, 8–10 hours per day. Shift starts at 4:30 PM and ends approximately 11:30 PM – 1:30 AM. Occasional overtime may be required.

Position Overview

This role is in the Distribution area and is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy for Shipping & Distribution across North America. The position conducts daily cycle counts, supports inventory improvement programs, and presents metrics to the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide work direction for team members related to inventory accuracy.
  • Support inventory improvement programs and audit for inventory accuracy.
  • Present daily metrics in the tier meeting.
  • Communicate daily via email (pass down, rush emails, IT tickets, etc.).
  • Assist Warehouse Layout Planning.
  • Participate in special projects, including annual inventory audit planning and execution.
Competencies
  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • Knowledge of inventory management best practices.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED (required);
    Technical or bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • Experience: Inventory management, shipping/warehouse/distribution, and WMS experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Excel.
  • Experience with automated picking technology (scan‑based).
Physical Demands

Ability to stand or sit for long periods and lift 25 lbs independently and 50+ lbs with a team lift.

Compensation and Benefits

The target hourly rate is $18.50 – $20.75, with potential discretionary bonuses. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
