Library Assistant

We are seeking a Library Assistant to join our team at our library in Sharjah. As a Library Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with library operations and providing support to patrons. This is a contract job with a salary of 1100$, ideal for Indians looking for English-speaking jobs.

• Assist with the daily operations of the library, including shelving books, cataloging materials, and maintaining the organization of the library
• Provide excellent customer service to patrons by answering questions, assisting with library resources, and resolving any issues or concerns
• Process new materials and update records in the library's database
• Assist with planning and implementing events and programs for patrons of all ages
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the library space
• Provide support to librarians as needed

• Indian nationality preferred
• Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
• Preferably a student or someone without experience looking for an entry-level role
• Ability to work on a contract basis
• Comfortable living in provided accommodation

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and database systems
• Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
