Senior Auditor

My client, a world class and publicly listed Oil & Gas business, have an urgent need for an Internal Audit Manager to join their dynamic and growing Upstream business.

• Understand, document, and test the key risks and controls within various businesses and operations in the Upstream division.
• Ensure a robust Control framework to meet global standards and comply with all applicable control procedures.
• Establish and document a framework for the audit function, including standard reporting templates, audit calendars, and other functional processes and procedures.
• Manage the internal audit team to carry out audit and risk management of various units and subsidiaries, identifying weaknesses, recommending improvements, and highlighting non‑compliance with statutory and legal requirements.
• Follow up on the implementation of recommendations within mutually agreed time frames with business/functional heads.
• Set up a risk management framework, including standards and executive actions, for the company and its subsidiaries.
• Undertake specific review assignments on behalf of management as requested.

• Experience in upstream Oil & Gas is mandatory.
• Excellent report‑writing and executive presentation skills; candidate must speak fluent, clear English.
• Proven experience in risk‑based audit planning, execution, and reporting.
• Experience with listed company reporting requirements is a distinct asset.
• Analytical ability to objectively evaluate business‑relevant dynamic processes and contribute to the company’s growth.
• Leadership skills to mould the audit team into an effective compliance and growth‑support tool.
• Thorough understanding of systems, controls, processes, and procedures in both accounting and associated IT domains.
• Strong analytical and control mindset.
• Excellent presentation skills.
