Role Objective
The Tax & Compliance Assistant Manager will lead and manage compliance across UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, and Customs regulations, while strengthening financial reporting standards, internal controls, and governance across multiple entities. This role is critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and financial transparency in a dynamic and growing business environment.
Key Responsibilities Corporate Tax & VAT Compliance- Lead end-to-end UAE Corporate Tax (CT) compliance, including return preparation, reconciliation, and filing
- Assess tax positions, exemptions, and Designated Free Zone eligibility
- Ensure proper documentation of qualifying income and compliance requirements
- Coordinate with tax advisors to ensure alignment with FTA regulations and updates
- Oversee customs documentation, duty calculations, and import/export declarations
- Ensure adherence to UAE customs laws and free zone regulations
- Collaborate with logistics and procurement teams to ensure smooth clearances
- Drive alignment of accounting processes with IFRS and UAE regulatory standards
- Strengthen internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance frameworks
- Support preparation of monthly MIS reports focusing on tax exposure and compliance metrics
- Act as key liaison between finance teams, auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
- Ensure consistent communication of compliance requirements across entities
- Support leadership in embedding strong governance and compliance culture
- 4–7 years of experience in tax, audit, or corporate finance
- Strong hands‑on experience in UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, and compliance frameworks
- CA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent qualification
- Solid knowledge of:
- UAE Corporate Tax regulations (qualifying income, exemptions, tax groups)
- FTA VAT compliance and filing processes
- Customs compliance procedures
- IFRS and group consolidation principles
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and tax/reporting tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
