Housekeeping Supervisor

Join our hospitality team as a Housekeeping Supervisor, where you'll play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort at The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah. As part of our Housekeeping team, you'll supervise daily operations, support housekeeping colleagues, and ensure guest rooms and public areas consistently meet luxury hospitality standards.

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Housekeeping team, including room attendants and public area attendants.
• Inspect guest rooms, suites, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance standards are consistently met.
• Allocate room assignments and daily tasks according to occupancy levels and operational requirements.
• Ensure guest rooms are prepared and released on time while maintaining attention to detail.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies, linen, amenities, and equipment, ensuring proper stock levels and usage.
• Coordinate closely with Front Office regarding room status, early arrivals, late check-outs, VIP guests, and special requests.
• Liaise with Engineering and other departments to report and follow up on maintenance issues.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and housekeeping-related complaints.
• Train, coach, and motivate housekeeping colleagues to maintain high standards of service and performance.
• Conduct regular inspections and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Ensure compliance with hotel standards, health and safety procedures, hygiene requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate housekeeping records, checklists, reports, and room status updates.
• Monitor lost and found procedures and ensure all items are handled according to hotel policy.
• Assist the Housekeeping Manager with administrative duties, staff scheduling, inventory control, and departmental operations.
• Support deep-cleaning schedules, preventive maintenance initiatives, and special cleaning projects as required.

• Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within a luxury hotel or upscale hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning standards, room inspections, and hotel procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and team-management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining luxury hospitality standards.
• Ability to identify and resolve housekeeping-related issues efficiently and professionally.
• Experience coordinating with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, and other hotel departments.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Professional appearance and well-groomed presentation in accordance with hotel standards.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and overnight shifts when required.
