Role Summary
The Payroll & Rewards Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, administration of employee compensation and benefits, maintenance of payroll records, compliance with UAE labor regulations, and support of the organization's rewards and recognition programs. The role ensures that employees receive correct remuneration while supporting the company's compensation, benefits, and employee engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities - Payroll Administration- Process monthly payroll accurately and within established timelines.
- Review and validate employee attendance, leave records, overtime, commissions, and allowances.
- Calculate salaries, deductions, bonuses, incentives, and end-of-service benefits.
- Ensure payroll data is accurate and compliant with company policies and UAE labor laws.
- Coordinate with Finance for payroll funding and salary disbursement.
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliation reports, and audit schedules.
- Maintain payroll records and employee salary information.
- Process salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, and salary increments.
- Handle employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee payroll information.
- Support the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
- Maintain salary structures, grading systems, and compensation databases.
- Assist in salary benchmarking and market surveys.
- Monitor internal pay equity and compensation consistency.
- Support annual salary review and bonus processes.
- Prepare compensation analysis reports and recommendations.
- Assist in developing reward and recognition initiatives.
- Support implementation of incentive and performance-based reward programs.
- Track and report rewards program effectiveness.
- Administer employee benefits programs including:
- Medical insurance
- Life insurance
- Allowances
- Employee wellness programs
- Other company benefits
- Coordinate employee enrollment and benefit updates.
- Liaise with insurance providers and external vendors.
- Ensure employee benefits records are accurate and updated.
- Support annual benefits renewal activities.
- Ensure payroll practices comply with:
- UAE Labour Law
- Wages Protection System (WPS)
- Company policies
- Internal controls and audit requirements
- Prepare and submit WPS files as required.
- Support internal and external payroll audits.
- Maintain compliance documentation and payroll records.
- Monitor legislative changes impacting payroll and rewards practices.
- Generate regular payroll and compensation reports.
- Prepare HR metrics including:
- Headcount reports
- Payroll cost analysis
- Overtime analysis
Benefits utilization reports - Reward program statistics
- Analyze payroll trends and recommend improvements.
- Support budgeting and workforce planning activities.
