The Manager – Auto Division will be responsible for leading, establishing, and growing XAD's Auto Division as a profit-focused business unit. The role will focus on business development, service operations, maintenance performance, customer relationships, revenue growth, cost control, divisional profitability, and overall operational governance.
Day-to-day service execution and maintenance activities will be handled by the Operations Manager – Service, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, technicians, admin, CRM, and support teams. The Manager – Auto Division will ensure that the division is commercially viable, operationally controlled, customer-focused, and aligned with XAD's business objectives.
The role will be supported by XAD's centralized Accounts, HR, Admin, Procurement, Logistics, and Management functions.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the setup, structure, operating model, manpower plan, service offerings, pricing strategy, and growth roadmap for XAD's Auto Division.
Identify and develop revenue opportunities from corporate customers, fleet owners, individual customers, insurance-related work, service contracts, maintenance packages, and strategic partnerships.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fleet clients, vendors, partners, and key stakeholders to support customer retention and repeat business.
Oversee the performance of service operations, workshop maintenance, repair delivery, job turnaround, quality control, customer handling, and complaint resolution.
Take ownership of divisional revenue targets, gross margins, operating costs, overhead recovery, and overall profitability of the Auto Division.
Review and approve service pricing, maintenance packages, quotations, discounts, customer offers, supplier costs, and job profitability within delegated authority.
Ensure proper SOPs are implemented for job cards, inspections, customer approvals, estimates, parts issuance, repairs, quality checks, delivery notes, invoicing, and customer sign-off.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure adequate manpower, workshop capacity, tools, equipment, spare parts, suppliers, and subcontracted support are available.
Identify and manage commercial, operational, customer, quality, safety, financial, procurement, and cash‑flow risks within the Auto Division.
Provide regular updates to senior management on revenue, profitability, service volumes, workshop performance, customer complaints, collections, risks, and key decisions required.
- 8+ years of experience in automotive service, workshop operations, fleet maintenance, auto business management, or related industry.
- Minimum 3 years in a managerial or business unit leadership role.
- Strong UAE automotive service, repair, fleet, or maintenance market experience preferred.
- Proven experience in managing revenue, costs, service operations, customer relationships, and team performance.
- Strong understanding of workshop operations, maintenance services, customer handling, pricing, vendor management, and profitability control.
- Experience dealing with corporate customers, fleet owners, suppliers, subcontractors, insurance-related customers, and service teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related discipline preferred.
- MBA or commercial/business management qualification will be an advantage.
- Candidates with strong automotive service experience and proven market credibility may also be considered.
