the Role

The Regional Sales Manager position is a senior-level role responsible for leading and executing sales strategies within a defined geographic territory, specifically for the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector in Sharjah and surrounding regions. This role focuses on driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and channel partners. The position has a significant impact on the company's regional performance, requiring a blend of strategic planning, operational excellence, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies tailored to the FMCG market in Sharjah, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives, providing ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Analyze regional market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviors to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners to maximize product placement and sales volume.
  • Monitor and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and KPIs, ensuring accurate reporting and achievement of financial targets.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, and product teams to coordinate promotional campaigns, product launches, and inventory management.
  • Oversee the negotiation and execution of contracts, pricing agreements, and promotional deals with channel partners.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and local legal requirements in all sales activities.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor sales execution, gather market intelligence, and support the sales team in achieving objectives.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales reports, market analyses, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Proven track record of at least 5-7 years in sales management within the FMCG sector, with demonstrable success in achieving and exceeding regional sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience in recruiting, training, and motivating sales teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Sharjah and UAE FMCG market landscape, including key players, distribution channels, and consumer trends.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships.
  • Advanced analytical skills for interpreting sales data, market trends, and financial reports to inform strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and planning.
  • Ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, promotional campaigns, and territory management plans.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous for effective communication in the region.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is required.
  • A Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is considered an asset.
  • Professional certifications in sales management or leadership are advantageous.
  • Valid UAE driving license is required for regular field visits and client meetings.
