Trader- Metal; Non Ferrous

In collaboration with the Trading Manager, the Non-Ferrous Trader is responsible for buying and trading scrap metal products and for developing and maintaining outstanding business relationships with new and current customers.

• Develop and maintain outstanding business relationships with existing and new clients.
• Identify new suppliers and/or customers.
• Collaborate with the Trading Manager to develop and maintain trading targets.
• Visit suppliers and customers by phone or in person to promote new and repeat business, quote pricing, provide customer service, answer questions, handle complaints, and build rapport.
• Work closely with logistics, shipping agents, and apply knowledge of general INCO terms.
• Develop a reliable network of contacts.
• Generate and maintain spreadsheets documenting commodity market trends, indexes, pricing, and order performance.
• Perform special projects as assigned and other duties as required.

• 5+ years of experience in a relevant field.
• Graduate degree is required.
• Strong negotiation and excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of metal scrap and LME markets.
