Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of carpenters and assigned personnel.
  • Plan, assign, and monitor carpentry work to ensure timely completion of maintenance requests and projects.
  • Inspect, repair, install, and maintain wooden furniture, cabinets, doors, partitions, shelves, pallets, and other wooden structures.
  • Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and technical specifications for carpentry work.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other materials accurately.
  • Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and storage of carpentry tools, machinery, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Administration, Production, and other departments to prioritize work requirements.
  • Estimate material requirements and submit requests for wood, hardware, fittings, and consumables.
  • Monitor inventory of carpentry materials and recommend replenishment when required.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify repair and maintenance requirements throughout company facilities.
  • Ensure all carpentry work complies with company quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Train, guide, and evaluate carpentry staff to improve productivity and workmanship.
  • Maintain records of completed work, material consumption, and maintenance activities.
  • Support office renovations, factory modifications, and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Carpentry, Wood Technology, Construction, or a related field.
  • Additional vocational or trade certifications are an advantage.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of carpentry experience.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or large facility maintenance is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, woodworking machinery, and hand tools.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of furniture fabrication, repairs, and interior fit‑out works.
  • Good planning and team supervision skills.
