Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair complex electrical systems in vehicles, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
Install, maintain and repair wiring, lighting and electrical components utilizing specialized tools and equipment.
Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting on automotive electrical systems to identify issues before they escalate.
Collaborate with mechanics to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with mechanical components.
Utilize diagnostic software and equipment to analyze and resolve electronic control unit (ECU) problems in modern vehicles.
Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed, providing detailed reports to management and customers.
Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and electrical systems to enhance service quality and efficiency.
Educate customers on proper vehicle maintenance and electrical system care to promote longevity and safety.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working in a shop environment to ensure a safe workspace.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to advance skills and knowledge in the automotive field.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent, with specialized training in automotive electrical systems preferred.
- Certification as an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) technician in electrical systems highly desirable.
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in diagnosing and repairing automotive electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and scan tools.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a detail‑oriented approach to troubleshooting and repairs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members in English; additional languages a plus.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle the demands of working in confined spaces and with intricate components.
- Team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate and share knowledge with peers.
- Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures in a workshop environment.
