strong Steel Fixing Works strong Cutting bending and fixing reinforcement bars rebar for the cover slab over the GRP manhole and other concrete elements as per approved structural civil drawings Installing rebar spacers chairs and ensuring correct cover spacing and lap lengths as specified Coordinating with the Foreman for formwork placement and timing of concrete pours Ensuring rebar is free of rust oil or contamination before placement Capping exposed rebar ends to prevent injury hazards on site
Education:No formal degree required; basic technical/trade training in plumbing, pipe fitting, or steel fixing preferred
Experience:Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a steel fixer in civil/infrastructure Experience reading and working from reinforcement/structural drawings required for steel fixing roles Experience with sewerage/drainage systems or small-scale concrete structures (manholes, chambers, slabs) preferred
Skills &Competencies:
Skilled in fitting installation, and/or rebar cutting, bending, and tying Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail for leak‑free joints and correct reinforcement placement Ability to follow verbal/written instructions from Foreman/Site Engineer Basic understanding of drawings/markings for pipe alignment, levels, and bar bending schedules Basic safety awareness (manual handling, trench work, handling sharp materials, PPE use) Physically fit for manual work in outdoor site conditions
Other Requirements:Willing to relocate to / work at project site full-time Accommodation and transportation provided by the Company Immediate joiners preferred (if applicable)
