Responsibilities- Design, plan, and implement student‑centered lessons which demonstrate a deep understanding of the academic discipline, curriculum, instruction, child development, and best practices, aligned with the Massachusetts state standards, and aligned with the mission and vision of Al‑Noor Academy.
- Maintain confidentiality and records of individual student progress and achievement.
- Regularly communicate with families about classroom activities and student progress.
- Meaningfully integrate technologies into class lessons during in‑school learning, as well as offer online supplemental assignments.
- Guide students in their social‑emotional development, maintaining expectations and support for positive and productive student behavior.
- Establish and implement expectations for student safety and conduct; and procedures and routines according to set school policies.
- Participate in faculty and in‑school activities, including but not limited to faculty meetings, professional days, school fundraisers, etc.
- Maintain good work ethics, professionalism, and contribute towards a positive school culture that is consistent with Islamic values and principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Master’s degree is preferred.
- Two (2) to three (3) years of teaching experience preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of best practices in teaching pedagogy with interest in ongoing professional development and innovative practices that support student growth, and skilled in differentiating instruction.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience in working in a culturally diverse community.
- Ability to think independently and critically, and collaborate well in a team environment.
- Proficient in Google Suite tools and other applications as adopted by the school e.g. Jupiter Ed.
