About Marcella

Marcella is one of America’s fastest‑growing fashion brands, selling women’s designer minimalist essentials. NYC‑designed and European‑handcrafted, we’re a next‑generation 1‑for‑1 brand where every major facet of our operation (design, production, sustainability, social impact) advances women and girls globally. At the heart of this approach is the School Days Project: for every order Marcella sells, we support 3 days of school for a marginalized girl around the world (over 1.2 million school days supported to date).

About

The Role

We’re hiring an Ecommerce Specialist to join our 13‑person global marketing team. This role will keep our Shopify catalog and product launches running at a high standard while contributing to how we merchandise and optimize the site.

The Ecommerce Specialist will own the day‑to‑day execution and ongoing optimization of Marcella’s product listings across all digital sales channels, including our Shopify Plus website and marketplace/drop‑shipping partners. Beyond catalog execution, this role contributes to site merchandising, product presentation, and conversion‑focused improvements across the ecommerce experience.

Reporting to the Senior Ecommerce Manager, this position works cross‑functionally with creative, copy, design, production, and merchandising to bring products to market with speed, accuracy, and consistency. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and experienced in Shopify Plus catalog operations, with strong judgment on site standards, launch readiness, and how product presentation influences performance.

This is a great role for someone who wants to grow beyond pure execution. You’ll own the catalog and launch process, and you’ll also have a voice in how we merchandise and iterate on the site.

Key Responsibilities Product Catalog & Backend Management
  • Own day‑to‑day product catalog management, including product setup, variants, pricing, tags, collections, and metafields.
  • Create, update, and maintain product listings for new styles, restocks, preorders, and relists.
  • Ensure product data accuracy to support merchandising logic, filtering, reporting, and overall site performance.
  • Monitor inventory levels and in‑stock rates for key products, launches, and promoted categories.
  • Build and maintain Shopify collections to support marketing and site strategy needs.
  • Support catalog restructures and bulk‑update projects as the business evolves.
PDP Creation & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Build complete, conversion‑ready PDPs including titles, descriptions, variant naming, key attributes, fit/fabric/care details, and imagery sequencing.
  • Continuously refine PDP structure and content based on performance insights and best practices.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with copy, creative, design, production, and merchandising to gather accurate product details and assets.
  • Ensure PDP content and presentation align with brand standards and best‑in‑class product storytelling.
Site Merchandising & Optimization Support
  • Support site merchandising strategy through collection curation, product sorting, and product visibility decisions, including work in personalization and merchandising platforms.
  • Partner with the ecommerce team to identify opportunities to improve conversion across PDPs and collection pages (e.g., product positioning, imagery sequencing, naming conventions).
  • Contribute to testing and iteration of product presentation, promotional placement, and on‑site experiences.
  • Monitor product‑level performance (CTR, CVR, sell‑through) and surface opportunities or issues to the broader team.
Product Launch Planning & Execution
  • Own execution of launches and drops end‑to‑end, from backend setup through go‑live and QA.
  • Maintain a repeatable launch checklist (inventory, publish settings, collection placement, SEO, imagery, pricing).
  • Conduct pre‑launch and post‑launch QA to ensure everything is accurate and functioning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve launch efficiency, merchandising impact, and on‑site visibility.
Marketplace Listing Execution
  • Create and maintain product listings for marketplace and drop‑shipping partners.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to…
