Veterinary Technician Sharon Veterinary Clinic Sharon, Massachusetts Sharon Veterinary Clinic is seeking a motivated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. You'll get to work with a wonderful group of professionals dedicated to animal health and well-being. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing, and Sharon Veterinary Clinic encourages its staff to do the same. The ideal Veterinary Technician we are looking for will be confident in:
* IV catheter placement, venipuncture. IV, IM, SQ injections.
* Anesthesia induction and monitoring.
* Perform diagnostic laboratory tests using Idexx Pro Cyte and Catalyst.
* Assist with radiographs (dental radiograph experience a plus).
* Medication preparation and administration.
* Obtaining patient history and preparing appointments for the doctors.
* Answer phone, make appointments, schedule procedures, etc.
* Clinic maintenance (general cleaning, stocking supplies, cleaning/wrapping surgical instruments)
* Able to lift at least 50 pounds

Technicians typically work 4 days/week. You will be required to work some weekend/evening hours on a rotating basis. We are open Monday – Saturday
* 1+ years of veterinary technician experience is required
* Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
* Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
* Understand the importance of client education
* Positive team-player
* Willing to continue their education
* Must be able to work some weekends and evenings/ rotating schedule

Pay range:
Up to $26.00 based on experience
