Veterinary Technician

Sharon Veterinary Clinic is seeking a motivated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. We are fortunate to have a loyal, friendly clientele committed to providing top-notch care for their cats and dogs. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing, and Sharon Veterinary Clinic encourages its staff to do the same.

The ideal Veterinary Technician we are looking for will be confident in:
  • IV catheter placement, venipuncture. IV, IM, SQ injections.
  • Anesthesia induction and monitoring.
  • Perform diagnostic laboratory tests using Idexx Pro Cyte and Catalyst.
  • Assist with radiographs (dental radiograph experience a plus).
  • Medication preparation and administration.
  • Obtaining patient history and preparing appointments for the doctors.
  • Answer phone, make appointments, schedule procedures, etc.
  • Clinic maintenance (general cleaning, stocking supplies, cleaning/wrapping surgical instruments)
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds

Technicians typically work 4 days/week. You will be required to work some weekend/evening hours on a rotating basis. We are open Monday - Saturday

  • 1+ years of veterinary technician experience is required
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Understand the importance of client education
  • Positive team-player
  • Willing to continue their education
  • Must be able to work some weekends and evenings/ rotating schedule

Pay range:
Up to $26.00 based on experience
