Yard Customer Service Representative (Drive-Thru Lumber Yard)

Schedule:

Full-Time | Some Saturdays Required (7AM-12). Pay: $17–$20 per hour (based on experience).

Koopman Lumber is hiring a Yard Customer Service Representative to support our drive-thru lumber yard. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role where you’ll assist customers, pull orders, and help keep the yard running safely and efficiently.

• Greet customers and assist them with orders in the yard
• Pull, stage, and load materials accurately and safely
• Operate forklifts and yard equipment (training provided)
• Load customer vehicles and delivery trucks
• Receive and put away incoming materials
• Process returns and ensure materials are handled correctly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Basic math skills and ability to read orders
• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Experience in a lumber yard, warehouse, or building materials environment
• Forklift experience (or willingness to become certified)

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license required

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly (heavier with assistance)
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to stand, lift, bend, and stay active throughout the day
