We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee the execution of our safety strategy and foster a strong safety culture across our manufacturing facilities. Reporting directly to the President, this role is critical to ensuring that safety remains a top priority, and that our team members go home safely every day. - Execute Safety Programs: Create and implement our safety strategy, objectives and training. Ensure continuous improvement of our Safety program.
- Manage Safety KPIs: Track, analyze, and report on safety KPIs (e.g., incident rates, near misses, corrective actions) to ensure continuous improvement and proactive risk management.
- Safety Training & Meetings: Conduct regular safety training sessions and lead weekly safety meetings to reinforce safety awareness and protocols. Lead the safety onboarding program for new hires.
- Collaboration: Work closely with all departments and employees to promote a culture of safety, ensuring team members and managers are actively engaged in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations by managing safety audits, inspections, records and reporting.
- Incident Management: Manage records of incidents, near misses, and corrective actions, ensuring timely follow-up and continuous improvement in safety practices.
- Safety Equipment Oversight: Monitor the availability and condition of safety equipment, ensuring team members have the necessary tools for safe operations.
- Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for safety-related communications, ensuring that all safety updates and requirements are shared effectively.
- A collaborative leader who can work well with teams at all levels of the organization to create a strong safety-first culture.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple safety initiatives and tracking their success.
- A clear and effective communicator, comfortable delivering training and addressing safety concerns.
- Proactive in identifying potential risks and following up on corrective actions.
- Committed to upholding high safety standards and fostering a positive and safe work environment.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in occupational safety, with demonstrated experience in safety program implementation.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in leading safety training and managing safety audits.
- Ability to spend 80% of your time on the production floor, working closely with teams and conducting safety audits.
- Comfortable with desk work and able to lift up to 15 pounds when necessary.
