Position Overview
The City of Sharonville is seeking a dependable and motivated professional to serve as a Public Works Operator. This full‑time position supports the daily operations of the Public Works Department by operating equipment and performing maintenance, repair, and construction activities that keep the City's streets, public facilities, parks, and infrastructure safe and well maintained.
The Public Works Operator performs a variety of duties including equipment operation, facility maintenance, roadway and right‑of‑way repairs, traffic control, seasonal maintenance, and event support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The City offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package. The pay rate for newly hired employees will be based on skills, education, job knowledge, and abilities.
Pay Range: $26.52 to $38.05 per hour.

Qualifications
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age as of the Final date to receive applications.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or have the ability to obtain one within the first six (6) months of employment.
Driver License and Insurability
This classification requires applicants to possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at the time of appointment or successfully obtain one within the first six (6) months of employment. Employees must maintain a valid Class B CDL throughout their employment. In addition, employees must maintain a driving record that complies with the requirements of the City of Sharonville's insurance carrier.
