Job DescriptionJob Summary: The Quality Inspector ensures product meets or exceeds all applicable quality standards by inspecting incoming products, in‑process assemblies, manufacturing workmanship, and finished goods.
- Inspect incoming materials for workmanship and conformance to inspection plans and drawings.
- Assist in developing standard work instructions, process procedures, and inspection plans.
- Interpret GD&T, IPC 610, and quality standards to evaluate product compliance and provide required reporting.
- Carry out inspections using various instruments such as micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, and multimeters.
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure effective information and data transfer to meet customer needs and organizational objectives.
- Participate in continuous improvements, process audits, and problem‑solving to ensure compliance with the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
- Knowledge of quality and lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and read blueprints.
- In‑depth understanding of GD&T, IPC 610, and other quality standards.
- Self‑motivated and proactive.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong aptitude in process improvement and problem‑solving.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Minimum of 2 years of inspection experience in manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Experience with inspection instruments such as micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, and multimeters.
- High School diploma; technical associate’s degree preferred.
- IPC certifications.
- ASQ Quality Inspector certification is a plus.
- Standing: >70 % of time
- Walking: 15‑40 % of time
- Fine Motor Movements: >70 % of time
