Job Summary:
Assembles, reworks, and tests assemblies, subassemblies, components, products, or systems.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding assembly duties to be performed.
- Performs troubleshooting and some module swapping in order to repair product
- Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in a jig, fixture, or other holding device.
- Screws, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
- Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on a printed circuit board.
- Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases.
- Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, straps, and switches, to assemblies.
- Performs network go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Abilities:
- Solid communication skills and ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Must have solid practical skills in electronics manufacturing and the ability to use common tools
- Understanding of assembly process
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or training.
- 2 years related experience desired
