Job Summary

Job Summary: The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring product meets or exceeds all applicable quality standards. Conduct inspection of incoming products, in-process assemblies/subassemblies, manufacturing workmanship, and finished goods materials.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Perform inspection of incoming materials for workmanship, conformance to established inspection plans and drawings.
  • Assist in developing standard work instructions, process procedures and inspection plans.
  • Understand and interpret GD&T to evaluate product quality compliance and provide reports as required.
  • Perform inspection utilizing various inspection instruments.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure that information and data transfers effectively to meet customer needs and organizational objectives.
  • Ensure the compliance of the total Quality and Environmental Management Systems by participating in continuous improvements, process audits and problem solving.
Required Experience

Skills / Abilities:

  • Knowledge of quality and lean manufacturing principles preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and read blueprints.
  • In-depth understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), IPC 610, and interpretation of Quality standards.
  • Candidates must be self-motivated individuals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong aptitude in process improvement and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education And Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of inspection experience preferred in a manufacturing or similar industry.
  • Experience with inspection instruments such as micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, and multimeters.
  • High School diploma; technical associate's degree preferred.
  • IPC certifications.
  • ASQ Quality Inspector certification is a plus.
