Account Executive, SB (2-50) – Cincinnati, OH – United Healthcare

The primary duty of the Account Executive is to retain existing agent and broker groups through exceptional service in order to promote health care sales and market United Health Care products to the small business market segment (customers with 2-50 employees).

• Develop business relationships with agents and/or brokers to renew existing accounts.
• Independently decide which brokers to focus on and which products to recommend.
• Promote sales of health care products to small‑business customers through brokers.
• Educate and keep brokers up-to-date on United Health Care products and pricing.
• Evaluate and discuss with brokers how United Health Care products meet the needs of the brokers’ customers.
• Independently develop and deliver recommendations to brokers on which products to market against competing products.
• Assist brokers in developing sales proposals, including anticipating competing products and distinguishing United Health Care products from those competing products.
• Achieve regional and health‑plan goals related to specific targeted health‑care products.
• Produce agent/broker sales that result in profitable premium levels for the company.

• 3+ years of account management/sales experience.
• 3+ years of business proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• 3+ years of experience preparing and presenting materials to clients.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Sales insurance license must be obtained or maintained as required by state law.

• 3+ years of experience with data analysis.
• 3+ years of experience working in partnership with underwriting and finance.

Salary range: $60,000 - $130,000 annually for full-time employment, based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase plan, and 401(k) contributions (subject to eligibility requirements).
