Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Grade: 5 Corporate 1/1/08
$35 Hourly based on experience
Reports To: Property and Maintenance Manager
Working Conditions: Non-Exempt
Must be comfortable with changing temperatures within a warehouse environment.
Direct Reports: N/A
This role will be mainly based in Sharonville, OH with occasional travel.
Position SummaryMaintains and repairs warehouse material handling equipment and building facilities to minimize interruptions in operations, extend asset life and ensure employee safety.
Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions- Carries out preventive maintenance programs for all material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation and maximize useful life of the equipment.
- Reviews daily Preventive Maintenance Check Forms completed by warehouse associates and makes general equipment repairs.
- Identifies existing or potential building and equipment issues and makes recommendations to Property and Maintenance Manager.
- Performs general maintenance and repairs of building and facilities which may include cosmetic, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry work.
- Maintains logs and documentation on maintenance and repairs.
- Complies with OSHA and other appropriate standards.
- Purchases supplies and parts from approved suppliers as authorized by the Property and Maintenance Manager.
- Assists with special projects or other assignments as required and based on level of expertise.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience in material handling equipment and/or building maintenance based on position needs.
- Unexpired driver’s license, good MVR and ability to travel locally and regionally as needed.
- Unafraid of heights and able to work on elevated platform.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Able to reach, climb, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong technical and problem solving skills.
- Proficient in reading electrical schematics.
- Experience in welding, preferred.
