Field/Service Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Junior Field Services Engineer
Deliver a wide range of services including standard maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and calibration of Waygate Technologies equipment. Work on Phoenix 2D & 3D CT X‑ray testing machine hardware and software at both Waygate and customer locations. This role requires extensive travel, expected to exceed 70%.
Responsibilities- Maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial X‑ray systems and supporting peripheral equipment such as X‑ray tubes, generators, coolers, scanners, stepper motors/controllers, power supplies, high‑voltage control circuits, motion control systems, and high‑end PCs.
- Providing technical support to customers via phone and on-site service visits.
- Completing service reports, invoicing packages, and administrative documentation in a timely manner.
- Driving customer satisfaction by delivering high‑quality service and honoring commitments.
- Monitoring site safety throughout the execution of all work scopes.
- Four‑year technical degree (AEET, AMET) with experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment OR four‑year degree in Electronics (BSEET, BSEE) or Mechanics (BSMET, BSME).
- Ability to regularly lift/move up to 20 lbs. and frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to undergo background checks including employment verification, criminal history, driving record, and education.
- Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
- Valid driver’s license and passport (or ability to obtain one).
- Valid U.S. citizenship status.
- 70% or more travel, with paid travel time and overtime work exceeding 8 hours per day.
