The Role Responsibilities

As the English Language Arts Teacher you are responsible for creating engaging, standards‑based instruction that develops students’ reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills. This position involves fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, assessing student progress, integrating technology into instruction, collaborating with colleagues and families, and contributing to the overall success of the school community. As the successful candidate you will be committed to student achievement, continuous professional growth, and supporting the school’s mission of Learning, Living, and Leading “The Hawk Way.”

Requirements

As the ideal candidate you must hold a bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field and possess a valid teaching license with appropriate secondary English certification. You will demonstrate strong knowledge of English language arts curriculum and instructional practices, excellent communication and classroom management skills, and the ability to engage diverse learners. A commitment to collaboration, continuous professional growth, effective technology integration, and building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues is essential.
