The Shawano School District includes four schools early elementary, intermediate, middle and high schools and the district office.

Responsibilities You will be supervising students throughout the school day in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria and during transition periods ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students. You will support the classroom teacher by working with students individually or in small groups to reinforce lessons and provide additional academic support. This is essential to those students that need extra help grasping content or meeting the learning goals.

Your role is critical in helping close the learning gaps and ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their academic level.

As the ideal candidate you will possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent. While an associate's degree is preferred, it is not required to get started in this rewarding role. For those without an associate's degree, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your readiness through a standardized assessment that highlights your skills in reading, writing, math, and your ability to assist in classroom instruction.

You will be required to demonstrate professionalism at all times with students, families, and other staff members. You will be asked to maintain student confidentiality in accordance with federal and state privacy laws.
