We’re partnered with a growing manufacturer looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to take ownership of cost visibility and financial performance at a key production site.
This high‑impact role will work directly with operations leadership, driving smarter decisions, improving profitability, and bringing clarity to the numbers that matter most. It is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the middle of the action and influencing how a plant runs.
What You’ll Be Doing- Own the month‑end close process for a manufacturing site, ensuring accurate reporting across materials, labor, and overhead
- Dive into variances (PPV, material, labor, overhead) and drive real solutions, not just reporting
- Partner with operations, procurement, and leadership to identify cost savings and efficiency gains
- Improve and challenge costing structures, standards, and assumptions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning with strong financial modeling
- Help guide strategic decisions through cost analysis, Cap Ex evaluation, and profitability insights
- Build and maintain cost models, pricing inputs, and operational metrics
- Drive continuous improvement across financial processes and reporting
- 5–10 years in cost accounting or manufacturing finance
- Strong experience in a plant or production environment
- Hands‑on ownership of month‑end close and variance analysis
- ERP system experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Someone who can work independently but also influence across teams
