Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Assists Drinking Water Protection Coordinator and Local Environmental Protection Program Coordinator with grant management: entering grants into the Kansas Grant Management System, approving financial and progress reports, and other duties relating to grant management as needed. The Environmental Grant Administrator will be responsible for maintaining Federal and State policies and procedures within the Programs Section of the Watershed Management group. The incumbent will create applications for LEPP and DWPP grants and will assist with the RFP process.
The Administrator may occasionally attend local leadership team meetings in place of DWPP Coordinator or LEPP Coordinator. They will work closely with Watershed Management Section to assist with any WRAPS programs that need grant management. The Specialist will be responsible for maintaining proper records. The Administrator will be expected to maintain records to the data coordinator's standards and assist the data coordinator with any projects.
The incumbent will also be involved in the 401/404 water quality certification process and will be responsible for those records.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
The Environmental Grant Administrator will participate in/gather data for sanitary surveys, nitrate assessments, and BMP verification (as needed). They will be asked to assist in creating 9-element plans, Project Implementation Plans, and other plans as needed. The Administrator will work closely with Watershed Management Section to assist with any WRAPS programs that need data collection.
