As a service consultant you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer records. You will serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.

Compensation
$70,000-$120,000+ annually

Responsibilities
* Greet customers promptly and provide an exceptional service experience from check-in through vehicle delivery.
* Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document repair requests.
* Recommend maintenance and repair services based on manufacturer recommendations, inspections, and technician findings.
* Prepare repair estimates and explain recommended services, pricing, and timelines in a professional manner.
* Open, update, and manage repair orders throughout the service process.
* Schedule service appointments and coordinate workflow with technicians.
* Communicate regularly with customers regarding repair status and completion times.
* Review completed repairs with customers and ensure complete satisfaction.
* Build long-term customer relationships through outstanding customer service and follow-up.
* Help achieve customer satisfaction, customer retention, and dealership performance goals.
* Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation while following dealership and manufacturer procedures.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, Automotive Service Consultant, or Assistant Service Manager preferred.
* Automotive dealership experience preferred.
* Hyundai experience is a plus but not required.
* Excellent customer service, communication, and sales skills.
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Ability to explain technical information in a clear, customer-friendly manner.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
* Computer proficiency and experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Tekion, Dealer track, or similar) is a plus.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
