- Perform comprehensive inspections on used vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, and drivability concerns.
- Complete manufacturer-recommended maintenance and reconditioning services.
- Perform safety inspections to ensure vehicles meet dealership standards.
- Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operation.
- Maintain efficiency while producing high-quality repairs.
- Document inspections, repair recommendations, and completed work accurately.
- Use diagnostic equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Work closely with management to prioritize vehicle readiness and inventory turn.
- Previous automotive technician experience required.
- Ford dealership experience is a plus.
- Ford certification is a plus.
- ASE certifications are preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.
- Ability to learn new technology and manufacturer repair procedures.
- Comfortable using electronic diagnostic equipment and repair software.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical or automotive training preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the workday.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
