Position Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Workforce Services Specialist provides employment and workforce support services by assessing customer skills, education, and work history to develop employment plans in compliance with federal and state guidelines. This position maintains accurate electronic case records in , reviews services for regulatory compliance, connects customers with workforce and community resources, and provides technical assistance with online workforce systems. The role also supports quality assurance initiatives and represents workforce programs through outreach events and community engagement.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

* Reviews customer assessments, transferable skills, education, and work history to support structured employment planning consistent with federal and state program guidelines.

* Ensure electronic case records in  are accurate, complete, and compliant with documentation, data integrity, and performance reporting standards.

* Participates in operational improvement, quality assurance, and compliance-related initiatives to strengthen program effectiveness and accountability.

* Reviews and analyzes services provided to Unemployment Insurance claimants identified as likely to exhaust benefits to ensure regulatory compliance.

* Prepares, reviews, and maintains electronic records in the statewide automated data system in accordance with established procedures and regulations.

* Screens and evaluates customer information to ensure appropriate referrals to partner programs and community resources.

* Represents workforce services at job fairs, community events, and public forums to promote participation in workforce programs.

* Provides technical assistance to customers utilizing online workforce platforms, ensuring adherence to established operational procedures.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED

* Six months of experience in planning, implementing and monitoring activities relevant to Workforce Center clients (e.g. career counseling, job placement, recruitment, assessment and deployment of staff or similar related experience experience)

Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
