Join the Close Brothers Risk Team where you will apply a broad range of business analysis tools and techniques to IT systems, complex calculation logic, treatment rules, data flows, integrations, and digital processes, operating effectively in both traditional and iterative / agile delivery environments.
Responsibilities- Investigates business situations involving IT systems, data, and digital processes, where there is complexity and ambiguity.
- Undertakes option short‑listing and feasibility assessment, considering cost, delivery complexity, risk, and technical constraints.
- Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition, and prioritisation activities for initiatives of medium size and complexity.
- Develops models for complex and ambiguous business, system, and data scenarios.
- Defines acceptance criteria covering functional, non‑functional, data, and process requirements.
- Acts as a key interface between business, technology, data, and delivery teams.
- Creates and maintains rule‑to‑requirement traceability and audit‑ready documentation.
- Previously investigated IT systems, data structures, and integrations.
- A strong understanding of software development and delivery life cycles (waterfall and iterative/agile).
- An ability to develop clear models representing business processes, systems, and data.
- A strong logical, structured problem‑solving approach.
- The ability to engage confidently with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Supported complex calculators, treatment logic, or rule‑driven solutions.
- Strong experience producing regulatory traceability, data mappings, and audit‑ready analysis artefacts.
- Worked in Agile / Scrum / Kanban or hybrid delivery environments, including backlog and story refinement.
- Worked with complex or legacy systems and enterprise data platforms.
- Exposure to regulated environments (e.g. financial services).
- Familiarity with modelling and documentation standards (e.g. BPMN, UML, data modelling).
- Worked with Snowflake.
- Experience with Informatica or similar data integration tooling.
- Hands‑on use of modelling and collaboration tools such as Visio, Lucid, Miro, or equivalent.
